A Truly Radical Woman

The Sarah Lundberg Summer School 2015:

“Kathleen Lynn, a truly radical woman”

Many aspects of Lynn’s life, activities and legacy will be explored in an open and participative forum. A number of prominent historians and activists, along with some newer voices will be giving presentations, with plenty of opportunity for attendees to comment, question and debate.

Timetable:

10am to 11am: Registration, and teas/coffees etc.

11am (sharp): Morning session featuring Mary McAuliffe, Mícheál Mac Donncha, and Anne Mac Lellan. (Session will finish with a short presentation by the 5th class children from St Josephs Co-ed School who were asked to find out more about Kathleen Lynn).

1pm – 2pm: Lunch (soups, sandwiches, teas/coffees)

2pm – 4pm: Afternoon session featuring Hugo McGuinness, Carmel Darcy and Ann Matthews.

4pm: Closing address: Moira Murphy

There will be also be a small photo display in memory of Sarah and a selection of Dockland photographs by John Moran, who also passed away last year).

The Sarah Lundberg Summer School is hosted by the East Wall History Group, in conjunction with the Alternative Visions Oral History Group, to honour the memory of our friend and colleague who tragically passed away in July of 2014.
