Pádraig Yeates, author of Lockout: Dublin 1913, comments on Larkin’s life as he leads a stroll through the city centre, with songs and readings from Clé Club friends, ending in the Teachers Club, Parnell Square. Suggested subscription – €5

7.45pm: An Buachaill Caoin – A Bilingual Tribute to Brendan Behan
Venue: Liberty Hall Theatre
Nuala Hayes takes the lead in a theatrical and musical celebration of one of Dublin’s ?nest writers, with poet Declan Collinge and music and singing from Clé Club house band, Liffey Banks – Nóra Geraghty, Máire Nic Fhinn, Angela Plunkett, Jack Plunkett, Sally Corr and Noel Pocock. Written by Des Geraghty,
and produced with the generous support of the
Irish National Painters & Decorators Trade Union and the NUJ’s Dublin Newspaper Branch, Dublin Freelance Branch, and P and PR Branch. Admission: €10 (includes Open Session afterwards)

A bilingual celebration of the noted singer who was the source of many traditional songs handed down to the next generation of the musical Donegal family.

All welcome to a singing lunch with “The Voice of Cork” and friends and regulars from the Clé Club. Soup and sandwiches available at the bar.
3.45-5.30pm: The Music of Michael Coleman
Lecture: Jesse Smith
Introduced by broadcaster Peter Browne
A presentation on the famous Sligo ?ddler whose records in the early 20th century had an in?uence on traditional music that far outlasted his lifetime.
8.00pm: The Clé Club: Liberty Session
The Larkin Hedge School ?nishes with a lively session led by this year’s Hedge Masters. Participation from all welcome.
